No. 940/1999
respecting Authorized Branches of Industry
Art. 1

Authorized branches of industry are classified as follows:-
Building and constructions branches:-
house-building
furniture upholstering
furniture manufacture
painters' industry
masonry
plumbing
wall-papering
Vehicles and transport branches:-
automobile manufacture
automotive mechanics
automotive painting (spraying)
Design, art, handicraft:-
furrier trade
glass cutting and mirror making
gold and silver trade
millinery
musical industry trade (instrument makers)
dressmaking
men's tailoring
ladies' tailoring
engraving
carving
shoe-making industry
- shoe-making
- shoe-repairs
stone-masonry
saddlery
watch-making
Food and catering branches
baking industry
serving-industry
meat industry
cake-making
cooking
dairy industry
Metal, machinery technique and production branches:-

Art. 2

In case it enter the question that a branch of industry not listed in Art. 1 of the present Regulation will become an authorized branch of industry the parties concerned engaging in the branch of industry shall send to the Minister of Industry a request therefor and also submit to him proposals concerning a name for the branch of industry, its sphere of action, study term and requirement of know-how and examination.
In case it enter the question to authorize a new branch of industry there shall upon dealing with it be consultation with the Minister of Culture and Education and the federations of Masters and Journeymen in the pertaining field.
In case the Ministry agree to authorize the branch this will amend the present Regulation in conformity therewith. The Ministry may lay down special rules relating to the granting of professional rights within the new branch of industry.
Corresponding modes of work shall be applied when older branches of industry are divided up or when these are combined and also when special branches are established, i.e. when a special branch of industry is approved.

Art. 3

The present Regulation, being laid down in accordance with para. 1, Art. 8 of the Industrial Act No. 42/1978 as amended by Act No. 133/1999, enter into force simultaneously with that Amendment.
