Based on the geothermal cooperation between Japan and Iceland, the Japan-Iceland Geothermal Forum 2010 presents an update from leading experts in geothermal energy development and utilization issues on the experiences and future challenges in Iceland, Japan and relevant developing countries.

Japan and Iceland - both volcanic island countries are two of the world's leading countries in geothermal utilization with their experiences, know-how and technologies. Japan and Iceland have been cooperating in this field for about 30 years in developing geothermal power plants in Iceland and have trained geothermal experts from developing countries through their geothermal training programs over the years.
