Statements at the 45th session of the Human Rights Council

During each session Iceland delivers a number of statements on issues ranging from the human rights situation in individual countries to thematic issues. Those statements can be found below:

Interactive dialogue with Working group on enforced disappearances

Debate on human rights situations that require the Council´s attention

In the Human Rights Council Iceland also works closely with the Nordic countries, as well as the Baltic countries (so called NB8 group). Additionally Iceland is part of the so-called Mountains group which in addition to Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Australia, Canada and New Zealand belong to.

With these groups Iceland makes a number of statements at each session. During the 45th session there were 27 of those statements on issues ranging from the human rights situation in individual countries to thematic issues. Those statements can be found here: Statements
