The department is responsible for preparing and enforcing financial plans and budgets on behalf of the ministry. It has oversight over the ministry's policies and plans and is responsible for their co-ordination, harmonisation and quality assurance. The office is responsible for preparing and enforcing service level agreements, as well as agencies' three-year programmes.
