Foreign Minister Gunnar Bragi Sveinsson has allocated 12 million ISK as Emergency Aid to two UN organisations that operate in Gaza due to the acute and deteriorating humanitarian situation the Gaza conflict. With his allocation the Foreign Minister is responding to an international appeal from humanitarian organisations.

Over a hundred thousand Palestinians are internally displaced in Gaza and there is a great need for emergency aid and water and sanitation facilities.
