Mr. Hrannar Pétursson has been appointed as a political advisor to the Minster for Foreign Affairs, as of today, 4 May.
Hrannar is born in 1973 and has a wide-ranging professional experience. He worked for Vodafone from 2007 to 2014, most recently as Director of human resources, marketing, legal and communication issues. From 2014 he has worked independently, including on temporary projects with the Prime Minister's Office. Previously, Hrannar was a reporter with Iceland's State Television, RUV, and information officer for Icelandic Aluminium Co. Ltd.
Hrannar has a degree in sociology from the University of Iceland. He is married to Margaret Arnardóttir, who has a degree in engineering and business administration. They have four children.
