Iceland reiterates support for Confidence and Security Building Measures.

At the beginning of the OSCE Annual Security Review Conference (ASRC) on 23rd June, Ambassador Guðni Bragason, Permanent Representative of Iceland, reiterated the support of Iceland of Confidence and Security Building Measures (CSBMs) and called on all participating States to fully implement the Conventional Armed Forces in Europe Treaty (CFE) and that States fully implement and comply with the Open Skies Treaty (OST). Both agreements are important for security in the Euro-Atlantic Area Ambassador Bragason stated, and called on participating States to engage constructively in the modernization of the Vienna Document and participate in the Structure Dialogue. The OSCE is a proper forum to address hybrid threats, due to the comprehensive security concept of the organization, he added.
