Embassy of Iceland in Kampala
Iceland in Uganda
Bilateral development cooperation between Iceland and Uganda started in 2000 when the Icelandic International Development Agency (ICEIDA - now part of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs) opened a regional office in the capital Kampala. In June 2004 the office was turned into an Icelandic Embassy, further strengthening the relations between the countries.
In addition to Uganda the Embassy in Kampala represents Iceland in Ethiopia and Kenya. The Embassy is also the Mission of Iceland to the African Union in Addis Ababa.
