The Embassy of Iceland had the pleasure to host the Children's Choir of the China National Children's Center on 15th April. The choir presented a fantastic concert that was based on the thrilling adventures of Icelandic Maximus Musicus, a music-loving mouse. Maximus Musicus is a character that was created by the National Symphony Orchestra of Iceland with the aim of encouraging children to develop an appreciation for music. Over 50 children graced the Embassy with their singing under the supervision of the Qiuming Yang, the conductor and director of the Choir.
Along with the China National Children´s Center, the Embassy partnered with Beijing Eurovista Arts Promotion, who are the franchise holders of Maximus Musicus in China and who have worked to extend this musical programme in China over the past few years.
In total over 135 guests visited the Embassy and enjoyed the concert.
