Embassy Information

The Embassy of Iceland in Vienna serves as a Permanent Mission to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Preparatory Commission to the Comprehensive Nuclear Test-Ban Treaty Organisation, all of which are located in Vienna.

The Embassy is in addition accredited as a bilateral embassy to Austria, Croatia, Hungary, Slovenia and Slovakia.

You can locate us in Vienna's 1st district on Naglergasse 2/8. The nearest metro stations are Herrengasse (U3) and Stephansplatz (U1 and U3).

Head of Department of Bilateral Relations, Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Iceland, accredited to New Zealand and Slovenia, Department of Home Based Ambassadors. Special Envoy for Gender Equality since 1 January 2018.

Sabbatical: Leadership Team of the UN African Millennium Cities Initiative, led by Dr. Jeffrey M. Sachs, mainly focusing on potential and utilization of geothermal energy in the African Rift Valley.
