Embassy's Jurisdiction
The Embassy represents Iceland vis-a-vis Sweden, Cyprus and New Zealand. There are six Icelandic Consulates in these countries, three in Sweden, one in Cyprus and two in New Zealand.
Iceland's Honorary Consuls in Sweden, as well as the other countries to which the ambassador is accredited, are private citizens who have untertaken to protect Icelandic interests in the area of their jurisdiction. They are not financially renumerated for their important work.
