The Embassy represents Iceland vis-a-vis Sweden, Albania and Kuwait. There are 4 Icelandic Consulates in these countries, 3 in Sweden and 1 in Albania.
Iceland's Honorary Consuls in Sweden, as well as the other countries to which the ambassador is accredited, are private citizens who have untertaken to protect Icelandic interests in the area of their jurisdiction. They are not financially renumerated for their important work.
